Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (approx. 1012 cookies)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Frosting (store-bought or homemade)

  • Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and melted butter. Stir in the yeast and allow it to activate for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • While the yeast activates, in a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet yeast mixture, followed by the egg. It should form a soft dough.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm area for 30 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside the filling mixture for later use.
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the Oreo filling evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  • Starting from the longer edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking pan.
  • Cover the pan with a towel and let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes until they’ve puffed up.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
  • Once out of the oven, drizzle with your favorite frosting while the rolls are still warm for maximum flavor!
