Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 200g burrata cheese (substitutes: mozzarella or goat cheese)
  • 1 large baguette or ciabatta, sliced
  • 23 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin recommended
  • 12 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the sliced baguette or ciabatta on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil, then sprinkle with minced garlic. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth but slightly chunky for texture.
  • Once your bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spread a generous layer of the mashed avocado on each slice. Tear pieces of burrata and place them on top of the avocado.
  • Finish by garnishing your bruschetta with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top for an extra touch of flavor. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshness!
