Description

Indulge in our decadent Brie Mac and Cheese the ultimate comfort dish that blends creamy brie with classic mac for an irresistible treat

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni or your favorite pasta
  • 2 cups shredded brie cheese (rind removed)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

  • Instructions

  • Begin by boiling a pot of salted water. Once boiling, add your elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, typically about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until combined. Gradually pour in milk, continuing to whisk until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in the brie and cheddar cheese until melted. Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper, mixing well for a flavorful kick.
  • Incorporate the drained pasta into the cheese sauce, stirring to coat all the macaroni evenly.
  • If you prefer a crunchy topping, transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs over it, and pop it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until golden.
  • Once your Brie Mac and Cheese is hot and bubbly, it’s ready to be served! Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and additional flavor.
