4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk, warmed (around 110°F)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 cup crispy bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup bourbon
1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well. Add warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs, mixing until blended. Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and crumbled bacon. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over the dough.
Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 rolls and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
